自2010年开始,中国科大研究团队系统研究了光晶格中原子的多体相变、原子相互作用、熵分布动力学等,并于2020年实现纠缠保真度为99.3%的1000多对原子纠缠态。但是,由于技术上对单原子比特的操控仍不足,光晶格相位漂移较大,缺乏多原子纠缠判定的有效方法,进一步连接纠缠对和测控多原子纠缠态遇到瓶颈。
